Chin Yu Heng has an extensive clinical exposure in physiotherapy, having spent four years at the National University Hospital under the Ministry of Health Holdings scholarship. His rotations covered Orthopaedics, General Medicine, Oncology, and Outpatient Musculoskeletal care, where he collaborated with a multidisciplinary team of esteemed healthcare professionals.
As a former competitive swimmer, canoeist, and ballroom dancer, Yu Heng leverages his athletic background to enhance his physiotherapy practice, understanding the conditioning required to achieve peak performance. Specialising in musculoskeletal and sports rehabilitation, he works closely with athletes to optimise recovery and elevate their athletic potential.
Yu Heng prioritises building strong therapeutic relationships, ensuring that his patients fully understand their conditions and the physical demands of their activities. His patient-centred approach promotes recovery and helps patients achieve their goals. He strongly advocates investing in holistic health and wellness early, encouraging an active lifestyle to enjoy a high quality of life through the golden years.
Outside of clinical work, Yu Heng practises what he preaches through regular weightlifting, running, cycling, ballroom dancing, and golf. He also volunteers for golf-related events and plans to continue contributing to external communities.
"I strongly believe in and advocate for preventative healthcare. The majority of musculoskeletal pain and injuries arise from inadequate physical preparation — a principle that applies not only to athletes but also to seniors facing mobility loss and reduced independence. My approach is centred on empowering athletic potential across all ages through evidence-based care, targeted manual therapy, and progressive, personalised exercise programming." - Yu Heng
